Timeguard introduces the groundbreaking ‘Dual Flag RCD Technology,’ a newly incorporated safety feature mandated in the updated BS7288:2016 standard. This technology provides an extra layer of safety for both the installer and end user through clear visual indicators that reflect the status of the RCD. When the device is active and supplying power to the appliance, a RED flag is displayed, while a GREEN flag indicates that the device is switched off and the power supply to the appliance is safely disconnected. To ensure reliability and safety, Timeguard has implemented a mechanical flag system, as LED indicators are less dependable and have a limited lifespan.

The Valiance Plus range of RCDs from Timeguard is fully approved and certified according to the new BS7288:2016 standard, which imposes higher resilience to RF devices (such as mobile phones, walkie-talkies, electronic equipment, etc.), resulting in reduced nuisance tripping compared to RCDs built to the previous BS standard.
